OK, guys, lot's of new people asking about what they need to download, where to get the files, and how to join an on-line game.Everybody's being very helpful and typing out the answers. I have a better solution, or thought I did.
I set up some tutorials to try and make it easier for everyone.
If you haven't seen the "Getting Started" section or the On-line tutorial at http://fscentral.50megs.com because you're an experienced pilot (and therefore, didn't need the info)- please go take a look at them. Then you'll see how it can make life easier for you.
The on line tutorial includes screenshots of EVERY important window if you aren't hosting a game. It walks a new player through the process step by step and warns them about some of the common mistakes.
The getting started section includes links to ALL of the necessary upgrades, including a site where they are broken into pieces for people with 56K modems. It also explains what they are and has a link to an explanation about on-line compatibility.
I'm not mad or upset
I just think it would be easier (and save lots of time) for you guys to answer the questions by telling them to go there first. That way, all you need to do is type in one link.
Then you'll have time to answer the questions they have after reading the tutorials there.
Remember, thats BR-549, oops wrong number
Just send them to Fighter Squadron Central at http://fscentral.50megs.com
I make no money off this site so that's not my reason for suggesting this.
