Great looking instrument panel and gunsight. Torque effect is very pronounced. May be overly responsive to stick input...twitchy when moving in for a kill.Flys fine in 1.5, but the Training Mission will not load in the patch which is much less forgiving of Open Plane errors. Bryan has a debug utility for this. I know it's a beta so please don't take this wrong. It's a fine addition to SDOE. IP: Logged |

Thanks guys.Jerry, the previous (private beta) did load with the patch just fine, but I must confess I have not tested the release version with the patch. Guess it did not like those "last-minute" features I'll give it a look soon. IP: Logged |

Nice but is it supposed to be so slow? Had a very brief play with it the other day. Got about 19 frame rate(which is my video card) and I find it flys very slow(which could be my card too). But, hey, it flys and add a lot to the game.IP: Logged |

This plane was the first plastic model I ever made so this brings nostalgic memories back to me. Its great in 1.5.2.8 patch, it works fine for me, can anyone else get it to run in the patch ?IP: Logged |

I've had the training mission CTD once with the latest patch, and run OK several times. I've seen something strange happening on that mission: levitatings Ju88s. I'll post a patch bug report with screenshots soon.Sunray, do you mean your framerates are slow, or the plane is not fast enough? It is supposed to be reasonably fast for a 1940 plane. On the FR issue, I plan to add an intermediate LOD, at least for the fuselage, and have the fully detailed one switch earlier. Thanks for the kind comments guys... I couldn't blame frame rates on the game or its stuff when I've only got 4 meg of video ram. A decent video card, HERE, runs $500. No friggin way!

It's $1.58 to be exact. $70 US cost me $110. A Geforce something runs $474 plus 15% taxes, retail.
By the way, the D520 made short work of the 2 Ju88's in the training mission then promptly CTD'd as soon as I shot the second one down. I'm not complaing, I won the mission! I then made a mission using it and it again made short work of a JU88 with no CTD. What is the armament on it?IP: Logged |

CTD'd? I don't like that... Are you running the patch? What version of the Ju88 do you have (you never know, it might not be my fault )?The D.520 has one 20mm HS.404 cannon firing through the prop spinner with 60 shells, and 4 7.5mm MAC 34 machineguns in the wings with 675 bullets per gun. In terms of quality, the HS.404 has better ROF than the british Hispano MkII, but (in real life) jammed a lot and its ammo was limited due to the shells being in a clip. The MAC 34 is a crappy MG with a light bullet, poor ROF and initial velocity. IP: Logged |

Pachy, I don't think it has anything to do with your aircraft or the mission. My version of the game is sick and being a nice guy I loaned a buddy my CD. So, until I get it back, I can't do a reinstall. I'm running 1.5.2.7 right now. I'm soon going to install .8 and that may fix it. I'm having other troubles as well, none of which have anything to do with your work. It's great. Like I say, it works just fine in the mission I made so it's not your aircraft.IP: Logged |

Sunray, here is North Bay, ontario. Staples has the geforce 2 MX for under 200. A local online dealer here carries the geforce 2 at the price I stated. www.shadowtech.com
