This has probably been covered by now, but I have just come back to SDOE. In D3D AND Glide, the cockpit/aircraft is way too dark. If i adjust the gamma so that the cockpit/aircraft are clearly visible, then the sky is waaaayy too bright/white and my desktop looks washed out.
I figure that the simplest way to fix this would be if I just made the sky a deeper/darker blue then that might compensate for the increased gamma. I've got no idea how or if it can be done but I'd really appreciate info from the technically gifted out there.
Thanks in advance.

Orcrest,

Some video cards allow custom settings that you can turn on/off easily. If yours does then create a setting for SDOE and turn it on before going into the sim. This way your desktop and other applications aren't affected.

Also, if you have SDOE Control you can adjust the light settings easily and through trial and error find the one that works best. You can also adjust light in your sdemons.ini file.

My SDOE has always been dark too so I have tried all these at one time or another to get it to look right.

Harman's suggestion is good for sky adjustment, but you can only do it one mission at a time. There is no adjustable "default" sky setting that applies to every mission, AFAIK.
