So here I'm guy who likes to do Campaigns for SDOE...
Got big plans for new campaigns, but got a personal hang up on kinda keepin'em historical...which means the plans I've got have to wait for the right aircraft & stuff to be done.

I know everyone is sick of hearing me talk about my North Atlantic Campaign already & I've got plans to do Battle of the Buldge, A Med Campaign, & Desert Fox 2..

So here's the deal, I'm just asking what the status of certain projects:

OK, Pete I know work on the Fw200 Condor has just started but do you have any time frame of when decent beta might be ready? A month or four? longer? To be honest, the North Atlantic just wouldn't be right without it...
Also another plane that would be sorely missed would be the PBY & if I could get both planes, I would defintely do a Condor vs. PBY mission or two as part of it...

Nat, your german float plane would be a real kicker too...Maybe I could talk Mace into helping out with it...(how about Mace?)

I'm also waiting for an updated Corsair II from Jedi...

With The Battle of the Buldge, I think I'll be fine on planes, I'm just waiting on Harman's Drive-able Vehical pack...

As for the Med & DFC 2, I'm needing the new Itialian birds from Wakeup Tailgunner, the new Med terrian from Nat & friends, the desert terrain & Bf109Trop & desert terrain from Gustavo....

If any of you guys could give me any kind of rough estimate on when some of these projects might see the light of day, just let me know here...
Also, if anyone knows of any other projects that might be of use to these evil plans, let me know...
Thanx to All

The eta on the Mc200 / 202 / 205 is uncertain.

Currently, I have a lot stacked up, but I can produce rough non-FM'd alpha's in a couple of weeks.

They need a proper cockpit which will take the most time. Also, I want to tweak the models again, to cure some problems with the current ones. Diego has done a nice skin, which I will re-map onto the new tweaked models.

The Mc200 I will build on a Hurricane base, the 202 on a 109e, and the 205 on a 109G to get relative performances about right. This will get them playable. Proper FM etc. will have to wait!!!!

Any help with assembly gratefully received!!!!

Hi Hip,

Hey, I know how you feel, kinda. The vehicle pack I've been working on was *meant* to be released by the end of April. However, at that time, there were only gonna be about 6 vehicles. Now that everyone is wanting improved tanks and more Axis vehicles (which I admit Axis vehicles is a must), I have had to push back the release date by say, well about a month to add at least another 4 vehicles, but I'm still not sure of the exact release date. If it's any consolilation, there will be at *least* ten vehicles now, no less, maybe more and the original ones WILL be improved upon.

Waiting does suck, but think of it this way, the more we (I'm waitin' too )wait the more chance that whatever's coming will be that much better. One thing that is making my pack a slow process to complete is the fact that the only person really putting it together is me I know, there are many people out there who are contributing in their own ways, but I am the one putting it together. Scorpion Rouge recently sent me his model for an Opel Blitz, and I'm proud to say this is complete. So here's some teasers...

The only vehicles with serious work needed right now are the Tiger II and the Sdkfz 251 Hanomag. I'm on the case as much as possible, without burning myself out, everyday we're getting closer . I hope to wrap it up by the end of next month. Sorry for the wait.

sorry to say that I have no time frame at all for the Ar196 float plane, it's built and has a basic FM but other than that I've not had any time for her, my current plane list that I'm actualy rotating work through is: Mig-3 (early Beta), IL2 (mid Beta), La5 (Late Beta) and La7(progressing to release version), plus then some small projects knocking around aswell. If mace would like to work on her that would be fine by me.

Hip...

I can relate a bit to what you are saying...I have had the Dauntless in my signature for two years...but I also realize that jedi is one of the few modelers we have here-- and he is overwhelmed, as are most of the modelers with projects. We need to cut these guys some slack- and give them time to do their thing. Constant please will only lead to more stress.

There are plenty of finished planes that could use a good campaign to boost them-- I have yet to see a good campaign featuring the finished Corsairs or Jug-- I know you are waiting for final versions of this, but it is easy to edit these planes in after.

I currently have a huge campaign that I have teamed up with semmern to complete...but with the new Update Project, even we mission makers get overwhelmed Patience leads to great planes....so let's see that Battle of the Bulge campaign-- I for one would like to see how you do it

------------------

Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless!

OK, well, here's the scoop on the Corsair: it won't work in the new patch unless I delete all of Mace's carrier gear from it--the breaking DOF system for detaching objects on command no longer functions. Also, several of the damage functions in the new Corsair rely on this trick, so the new damage model will ALSO not function properly with the patch at this point.

I CAN create the new Corsair II model in about 20 minutes, but it will ONLY work in the current online standard. When the patch becomes standard, NONE of the "new" Corsairs will function without significant re-modeling.

I'm a little leery now of finishing either the new Corsairs OR the SBD (OR helping with the "refit" of the original 10 planes) if I'm just going to have to rebuild everything in 2 months to add/fix stuff that the patch has disabled.

Don't get me going on this issue, or I'm gonna say some stuff I'll regret later I will PROBABLY go ahead and finish the Corsairs, but I'm not gonna build the Dauntless TWICE, and it's pointless to do anything with it damage-model-wise until I know which tools the patch is going to "allow" me to use.
