It is a first hand account of the wartime career of Tom Pickering from signup to POW in germany. He flew in aircraft types we have yet to cover
eg Battle's, Blenheim's and Beauforts and has some interesting technical details on guns used etc and also gives lots more background
information on the times. It is posted on his sons site in his memory ,as sadly Tom died in Dec 2000, his son Martin has made Tom's account
available from his site, he plans to update the book further so check back to see if it is updated.

That was a good (sad) story. I've been in situations like that (no plane and no bad bones) and it scares ya half to death. I know that many people from many countries made the ultimate sacrifice for the (our) cause and we salute them all...
