After thinking about it for a few days and reading ever book I have on the Hien I desided to can the Ki-61-I.

I keep reading that almost all the Ki-61s had field applied modifications and some where even done by the factory.

So, instead I will be releasing the Ki-61-I-Otsu which was a factory applied MOD which replaced the two wing mounted 12.7mm MG's with german Mauser Cannons.

This was the only field MOD for this plane, others after this MOD contained a nose increase and different cannons.

I don't want to make the MODs in the loadout I want to release a whole plane. I'll release a bunch of field MODs of the Ki-61 and variants once the Ki-61 is released but with other things going on who knows when the Ki-61 will be finished.

Work is still going on but very slow.

I was about to send Moose and Rocko over to "persuade" you to reconsider...

There's one varient with the cannons in the nose, I believe, and another (limited) with FOUR cannons (which the long-suffering IJ fans probably "deserve" at some point...)

Ki-61 on CFS2..well for those of us who have CFS2. I just wish one plane in development for SDOE would actually be released...it's not a rag on anybody it's just the honest truth...Lata

Hey Razer - I await the KI61 with bated breath - any chance of the Frank (Hayate) at some future time?

The Frank is/was in development but i've placed it on hold for other planes. Plus i've learned a guy has already made one for SDOE but never released it and i'm trying to get in touch with him to compare notes.
