I am working with SV in creating a new home for our forum. This new forum is necessary because this forum, I believe, is being neglected for whatever reason. Clues to this are as follows:-Some of our group cannot post here or renew there membership. -Error messages when posting or editing your post. -No contact with forum owners is possible. -Trouble connecting to this forum. -The forum is down several times a day at present. Sean (SV) has the web space and the talent to give us a forum equal to, or better, than this one. It will be a forum by one of us for all of us and we can mold it to suit our unique needs. The new forum will be free from annoying adds and pop-ups common to the free forums being considered. This new forum will take some time to build so hopefully this forum will provide us until that time. Hawk

Good call!If you need any volunteers to help with anything, or you want me to carry on moderating any parts of the new forum, just shout. I will be happy to help in any way I can. ------------------

Spin no one really wants to start a new forum. But: )Seveal people including Da Jug Head are not be able to post here because Inertia will not return their email after signing up. )This forum is down at least 3 to 4 times a week now and getting worse. )No one from Inertia will respond to inquiries about our problems, in fact most mail is returned as "non-deliverable" The writing is on the wall and we must do something now. Salute all,
As I read my favorite forums, I start to wonder how long all those useful tips will be around with an ability to search them and what a shame if they disappear. I wonder how many MB the posts in a forum take up and how hard it would be to put a whole forum on a disc with the ability to search it? I have no idea myself, anyone have any thoughts on this? Has it ever been done anywhere?IP: Logged |

Thanks guys!!I personally haven't had any problems YET (fingers crossed that i never do) but it's no good if others are having trouble with stuff.
The only talent i can lend you is pretty pictures that you might want to incorperate into the new forum (backgrounds etc).
