*speaking to the almighty plane-building gods* I pray to thee...that you should undertake a small request by your humble servant, vahnatai, that thou shall make minor modifications to the P-47 so that i may graciously fly a P-43 lancer (moving the guns and making the gun mountings...no FM or DM changes)*faces east and bows head*

We are still working on the ne wcockpit for the P47 razorback, but there is no reason why this can't be included. I'll look into how much work is invovled! Got quite a lot on at the moment, but since the P47 is currently receiving attention, it may be easy enough to do quickly!

What's wrong with the cockpit? Too many polys? I thought JT and team jug did a great job with it.

Nothing 'wrong' with the cockpit...for a bubble top!

The plane is being converted to a razorback variant, which needs a new canopy. Also, the cockpit rear needs to be changed to fit the new rear....etc. etc. etc.

The result, a P47 razorback, would then be the base for a conversion to a P43.

It's not quite as simple a conversion, since the fuselage needs shortening by about 8 feet! 6 feet off the wings, and you are there! It would need a new fuse, new tail, and possibly new wings to do it 'right' but it needs the razorback as a base, not the bubbletop. Since the Jug has a seperate cowl assembly, it's actually not that hard to re-shape it
