EAW planes have always been crap. The reason they get all those planes in the air at once is high detail planes are no more then 500 polys (probably less)

It would be interesting to see how many players we can get in the air at once with the new patches and a lower-poly model. The problem before has always been CTDs, which the patches address.

The EAW planes are low poly because the intial sim design was done for a DOS/SVGA platform. It was in development for quite a few years.
