Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk I/II o Version 3.1 - Update Details:

*Incorporated a new gun sight reticule thanks to Yardstick
*Added a landing gear damage model. If the left wing sustains significant damage the left gear will not extend. If the right wing takes a number of hits the right wheel goes flat. Also the damage model now adds bullet holes to wings and fuselage.
*Also improved ground handling and realigned prop spinner
*Added a yellow 'brakes on' light to the instrument panel (right hand side of the climb dial) This is activated when you press SHIFT + B and de-activated when you retract your tail hook after a carrier landing. You will need to add the following command to your keyboard.inp Make a copy of the keyboard.inp file before editing it! You can edit keyboard.inp using notepad, wordpad, word, etc. In the 'Other flight controls' section add:

cmdBrakesLocked = Shift B

Sea Hurricane Mk I/II (771k) which includes thirteen training missions; available at:

Mace,

Thought you would like to know that the cross hairs don't show-up in OpenGL, but do in D3D. In OpenGL they appear for a few seconds as a non-transparent dark blue box with the cross hairs in a lighter color but then disappear altogether. If you determine that this is 1.5.2.6 OpenGL issue then you might want to post it on the Patch forum.

P.S. This is true for the Seafire also.

Also, I have the same problem we discussed befor: During in-air starts the RATO comes on automatically after about 5 seconds.

Jerry thanks for the feedback.

If the excellent new gun sight reticule (thanks to Yardstick) seems to have some problems, the fix is simple. Just go to your SDOE Media/Aircraft/Cockpit/Brit folder and COPY the GunSight3.sm file to your desktop. Now rename it GunSight4.sm and place in back in the Media/Aircraft/Cockpit/Brit folder. This will give you the old gun sight reticule.

The RATO issue is interesting. For an 'in the air' start when the aircraft exceeds 110 mph the RATO pack falls away. All missions where an 'in the air' start occurs the initial speed of the aircraft must be more than 110mph otherwise the RATO is still attached. Check speed of the airframe when your having this problem.

Mace,

Both the gunsight and the RATO problems are patch issues not related to your planes. In 1.5 everything works. With 1.5.2.6 they are both buggered. There is something about "breaking DOF's" that the patch doesn't handle well...whatever that means. That may be the RATO problem.
