Flash,
my current running system:PIII 450,128MB RAM, 16 MB TNT2 Vanta,so you see itīs not a race machine.I get FR similar to Rhineland only over the small forest it goes down to 20 fps with 3 LA-7.But this plane dropped the FR more than others.Screen Res. is set to 1024x768.

Time for Beta Testing:
You should only download these files, if you have currently Tundra installed.Do not download the Tundra Terrain from Open Plane Org.It will overwrite your Planepack if you didnīt unbig it!
Please wait, Razer put the whole new Terrain to one of his websites if Beta Testing finished.

For Beta Testers:
d/l following 3 files: http://people.freenet.de/Santarossa/Media.zip http://people.freenet.de/Santarossa/Media1.zip http://people.freenet.de/Santarossa/Media2.zip

Put the files into the same Media Folders:
Example:
Copy the Tundra airfields Folder into the Media/airfields Directory.
Create some missions to see that all works. I guess that you get no problems and all works fine, but who knows. Please report here if something is missing or you ran into trouble.

Thanks to wakeup tailgunner for his support to make the airfields workable.
Thanks to Diego for his outstanding painting job.
Thanks to Razer ,he will post the whole Terrain soon.
Thanks to Blasius, he was my first Beta tester.

Rendsburger,
Well I don't know what I did to cause this but it seems that I only have a partial terrain. I have big black areas and then I have areas that are snowy. How big should the terrain file be, maybe I only got a part of it. Also where do I install the trees so that they are seen in the terrain. Thanks bro. P

Psi,
are you shure you have the Tundra Terrain installed, before you d/l the Modification?
If you havnīt installed it, you see no original tundra textures.

To install the files correct, have a close look to the extracted folders of the media zips.
The trees should be in the:
Media\terrain\vegitation\textures
folder. You only have to cut the number after Media: 1 or 2,so you know exactly where to place the files.

Rendsburger, this is totally fantastic. I got into Harman's Jeep and just drove around. It looks so real. Those trees are the best I have seen. I changed the ones in Rhineland Winter to the ones you made and now it is improved too. Thank you, your work is very appreciated.

Rendsburger,

AHH HAA! Thats what I didn't have before is the original terrain. Does anyone have that on their site? From what I've seen though it looks fantastic. And thank you for taking the time to help me with this, will be great to have.

PSI,
i suggest to wait, until Razer put the complete smolensk/tundra to his site.
But if you canīt wait you can download the original Tundra at:http://www.openplane.org/

But then you have to use Parfiletools to unbig the terrain and put it back to SDOE and after that you have to install the modification.

Rendsburger, this is splendid. I have a question, though:

The airfields and towns show up in game OK, but they do not appear in the mission editor. So I can't make planes start on runways. Is this a known limitation, or is my installation incorrect?

Pachy,
yes you should see the airfields/cities and targets in the Mission editor!

Maybe itīs not correctly installed. Look at the missioneditor folder and search for the tundra folder. The Tundra.sm and a texture folder must be placed in there.

When i get the final file when everything ready to go i'll upload the terrain in one large folder you need everything in one file and not have to install the tundra map cause it over writes the planepack and this will cause problems for newbies.

This terrain is amazing, just one fault so far, landed at the airfield in North east corner, as I taxied towards the hangers, the plane and its shadow lifted up and I was able to taxi over the hangers, I think the plane still followed the profile of the original tile. Tested the Dovernight airfield fix beta and that tested out fine.

pachy and rendsburger,

if you unzip the files you get"missioneditor"
instaed of"MissionEditor" so now you get a "missioneditor" folder instead of "MissionEditor" so you have to replace the files.
