Hmm...It is very close to the SBD-3 cockpit I am looking at....telescope gunsight, aft ends of the 2 guns are in the right spot, but I don't see that vertical instrument on the right side of the artificial horizon in my pics...also, there is no window in the floor of the cockpit. My guess-- the Val dive bomber  I hope whoever does the cockpit for the Dauntless uses the pics I sent jedi-- they are very detailed If I am way off Yard, forgive me. Whatever it is-- it is beautiful! ------------------

Dang it!I was going to guess the Val. Not because I recognised the cockpit, but I was going to guess based on the green wings! Good looking Cockpit thats for sure. PR=FC= IP: Logged |

Actually, I didn't see the green wings The only reason I guessed is because:#1-- The cockpit with the gun butts and telescope site is similar to the Dauntless, but not quite #2-- We only have so many planes with rear gunners stations Nice work Yard!! Are you by any chance helping jedi with the Dauntless cockpit  He has a wealth of info because I love the damn plane so much, I bought the technical book even though I wasn't modeling it He has all of the pics he needs-- he just needs more time and less projects LOL...but I am glad he picked it up when Jag left-- she is to beuatiful to leave alone ------------------

nice, I'm sure Mposis started with his old model and not the one I worked on right?mine had textured wheels, 3D cowling and the outside framing mapped.

Wow! That looks really nice. I hope that the outside model can do justice to that cockpit! If there's one thing I really wish SDOE had, it's some Pacific theater dive bombers (Val, Dauntless). I'll be eagerly awaiting the release of this one.charm IP: Logged |
