Now i´m working on the Dovernight modification, please give me your opinion: I have add some runwaylights to the french (german) airfields.Should i add this to the RAF airfields too? But this is not historical correct. On the other hand i can make some landinglights to the RAF planes. The lights appear if the gears go down and dissappear at gearup. But then you will see the light also at daylight missions. It´s better to use a keycommand to get the lights working, but i have no idea how to make it.And i also think that this is a job for the planebuilders who made these planes.I can post the lightstuff and the planebuilder can add this to their planes.Rendsburger IP: Logged |

I think you should make the airfields how they were historically. If they had no lights, then make no lights. As for the landing lights on the landing gear, if this was real (I'm sure it was), add this too, but having them shine in daylight won't be that good. You can probably just make a DOF that is similar to the landing gear, but will operate with a different keypress and hide and unhide the lights when you press the key. Good work on those airfields, those night lights on the German fields look nice! ------------------ Visit FS:SDOE Online IP: Logged |

What about having the landing lights on the plane as a different loadout. So in mission editor you set the loadout as BOMBS night or somit?

Biggles,i think this is not possible. If you put this to the loadout you get the light turn on all the time.If no other comments will be post here, i do only add the runwaylights to the german airfields. Rendsburger IP: Logged |

Rendsburger, you always amaze me. What a great idea with the landing lights.I can make them so that they come on with a key command. All you have to do is put in a dof with the oscBeginDisabled. When you press the key they will appear, when you press it again they will go out. If you could send me an example of a plane that has the lights on it I will add the dof with the key command. The "L" key is currnetly not in use in the Keyboard.inp I can make the command; cmdLandingLights = L again, great idea. I agree, only add the lighted air strips to be historically accurate.
