Drag races! Heres the idea, a bunch of us try Harmans citroen online drag racing down a strip. The start point will be the beginning of a runway, and the finish line would be the end. People could f5 and watch external view to determine winner of each heat. We could have someone beep a horn to signal the start or something. I think it could be cool.
Anyone intersted? we could set up a time and
I could create a couple of missions to get us started(we could even try the trucks and jeep) Perhaps we could even use the pylons to create a circular route for a dirt track race. Anyone?

Good idea Archy,

I'm actually gonna re-vamp all my vehicles and release them in a "drivable ground object pack" soon with updates including using the Joystick for steering instead of the rudder controls and also having the front wheels steer realistically. (thanks to Raider for this help)

Put a klaxon on the field, start when the siren sounds and have a third party fly over. Since you won't know when he is going to trip it, the start should be fair.

What about a rally? Say pick two airfields on the continental side of North Africa and say the first to get to point B from point A wins, and each person picks their own route!

I went driving in NA in the jeep the other day. I love the suspension! The jeep looks so cool when you hit the bottom of a hill doing 60mph.

I wonder if it would be possibly to rig up a jeep where the 'pilot' can't look at the map, and the 'copilot's main view is the full map, and cut out the two gunners. That way, what you could do is have, say 8 of these jeeps (thus 8 people) get into a game, then have 4 of the people F5 then F7 their way into the appropriate copilot position and navigate for their driver. Yeah it would suck to look at the map for long periods of time, but you could take turns. F5ing of course should be discouraged, because it takes away from the 'fairness' of the event. Oh, and of course the two people would be on a RW channel and would have to communicate well in order to get to their destination first.

Just a thought.

Just another thought...

Once Pete's transport plane is finished, if you had a couple people fly shuttle runs (no barrel rolls now ) you could even have a cross-channel rally, or a rally that includes the islands.
