I just made the front cargo door system for the C-5 and it works exactly like the real thing. Even down to ramp "toes" that fold out, the way they fold out is identical to the real thing and just blew me away.Another big HOORAH for OP! Well, that's definitely in the works. I'm not sure if it'll work or not, but people have done some unique things around so hopefully someone can make that work. I do know that when I used to land my planes on a moving carrier that I made, the plane I parked on the carrier wouldn't sit still while the plane moved, it would skid and eventually kill both vehicles. So who knows, maybe a new patch is needed for this.IP: Logged |

think of the posibilities ...if you could put the car inside it....hhhmmm what about making a person....like a robot..like a car or a plane but a person....that could use its hands to manipulate things....like steering wheels or joysticks or guns..ok Im dreaming......man I would just love a first person flight sim...where as your a person that can get into and operate planes, tanks ect...and move around freely...btw thats what I thought B17II was gonna be like.......could that be done in SDOE?IP: Logged |

Pete, doesnt the real C-5 strap everthing in the cargo bay down? Why not do something similar with the model in ops... maybe some invisible, indestructible posts that extend up and prevent things from sliding around the interior??-Stark IP: Logged |

Stark,That's a great idea! It just gave me a new idea, I like the post idea but even better, have them controlled by a DOF that raises and lowers them into the cargo floor for keeping things from sliding. I'll look into it. As I get further along with it I may need someone to jump forward and help me with getting the cargo floor to act like the ground so we can indeed drive on it. I never did get this stuff down when trying to make the deck of on of my carriers a "hard" deck for landing on. I kept sinking through it. Keep those ideas coming IP: Logged |
