The plane pack is all contained in par files, so you will see some files like data10.par etc, but not the actual aircraft files and textures.

If you really want to get at them, get the openplane tools and use a thing called BigMunger

If you downloaded it on a Mac, it won't unzip because it uses a Windows based installer.

If this is the case give a yell, as there will have to be a Mac version created that is just zipped, with instructions on where everything goes.

yeah i think you're right because the other things i downloaded are in zip form which my mac can open and then the plane pack is in exe format which it cant open. oh and i downloaded it twice to make sure it didn't mess up during downloading so thats not the problem. what i'm wondering is will the zip files and add ons work with SDOE because i can see all the textures and stuff.

Da Jug Head I think you are right about the PC installer. How can we solve this? I would except I don't know how. Would anyone take on this task? Myself and other Mac users would be very thankful if the plane pack was made mac compatible.

The only thing you need is finding someone who ran a pc emulation on his mac. Then you can use parfiletools to extract the par.files into folders and bring the stuff back to the internet for the Macuser.
