Did anyone noticed, too, that AI did only take off and Land from 2 airfields(Eastbourne,Tonbridge),but not from the other ones?
Maybe itīs the same problem i have had (and fixed now) at the Tundra Terrain.

Actually, if you give them the longest runway at Woolwich (Heading of 90) I haven't had any problems with my AI taking off.....also-- the French fields are pretty good-- but there is no runway at St. Omer that lets AI 88's take off without crashing....too many hills around it...Douellens and Abbeville are also OK though.

Commando,
i think i can fix that.

Jeeves, this didnīt work at dovernight, because the plane starts from hills etc. but not from a runway.

D'oh!!! Sorry Rend....didn't see the night part Yup you are right-- whenever I did a night mission, I always had air starts. Hope to see you guys fix that-- I am at awe with what you all have done up to date-- I am drooling in anticipation of all the campaign options these new terrains will open up.

Did someone say "Black Widow"?

That is a cool sight, great job and we will have to have more night planes for sure!

Rendsburger,
Well, I have the same problem with the Smolensk airfields as I had with the Pacific airfields. Its the damn "edging" problem This means I'll have to redo them. Give me a few days to sort it all out.

Do them all! Please!

The prospect of real night missions with searchlights, landing lights etc. is just too tempting.

Proper night intercepts of Lancasters mmmmmm I can't wait!

Time to dust off that old Me262B on the hard drive somewhere, and the Defiant project I started nearly a year ago before I found out I could model!

Has anyone been able to program new airfields (not ones from a stock terrain sewn into a new terrain) to work with the AI? My understanding was that this was the reason why the Singapore and Midway terrains have been put into a holding pattern, along with the problem of coding rivers and bodies of water.

I don't understand why these two issues haven't been dealt with by MH & co. in an OP related document or as a followup in a thread, it seems that so much could be let loose if these were figured out.

Werner,
the water problem was solved by Nat and there are so many airfields to use,so why creating a new one.You can place every airfield where you want and you can edit them to give the fields a different look, like the pacific airfields.

Werner,
Creating "brand spanking new" airfields can be made just like the stock ones. More work but, the ability is there. Stalingrad will be the melting pot of the terrains with water, new towns, cities, new airfields and destructible buildings.

The only thing holding the Terrain Team is bodies with talent...thank God Rendsburger came on board. So look for those old musty terrains to get a dose of the new stuff when Stalingrad is on your drive.
