I have just spent an enjoyable hour doing circuits. The visibility from the cockpit of the Emil is pretty good when on finals. I though pilots in the 109s and Spitfires had to make a curved approach so they could see where they were landing, basically? Is this a fault of the FM for the aircraft not needing a large enough angle of attack to obscure the view?

Just curious

You must be sitting on some phone books Jet.
I guess the phone books were thinner in WWII.

I've actually _watched_ Spits doing this.

As to the Emil the slats and flaps result in a very steep approach, nose-down. It actually had very good visibility for the time.

You might want to take a flight in a Rallie some time, it's very similar. On finals it looks like you're going to fall out of the nose of the airplane and into the prop. The actual glide path isn't any steeper, just the AoA of the plane.
