Anyone using a USB joystick/controller that has been experiencing problems, take note:

MS announced there were several known issues with USB controllers and DirectX 8. They have released DX 8a to solve these issues.

Also, check your controller mfg website for updated drivers.

thankfully my USB Cyborg has has no problems at all, this is probably specific to some makers.. probably Logitek, still, a fix is a good thing, and as spin said, should be a great help knowing this for the patch team, good post Jug

Ah I see Nat knows the secret weapon. The Cyborg USB is the stick for SDOE. It is a long throw compared to the short throw MS (older quick shiftin' gear heads will know what I mean :-)

Being a long throw stick it smooths out the over sensitive SDOE stick movements.
