For the last week I've had no sounds in SDoE. I'm not sure when it started, but I've been so busy lately I haven't had a lot of time to think about it.

The sounds _used_ to work, now they don't. I can hear bombers most of the time, but they have a choppy quality to them. Most fighters have no engine sounds. About 1/2 of the time I get no gun sounds either.

Ok, what did I do? I have a AWE128 (or something), I don't think this is GPU related.

This happens on my computer if the sound acceleration is turned up full (4/4).

Try this:

* In Windows, right-click the speaker icon next to your clock in the system tray and click "Adjust Audio Properties".

* In the "Playback" section of the resulting dialog box, click "Advanced Properties". Select the "Performance" tab and move the first slider (Hardware Acceleration) down to 2/4. It should say "Basic Acceleration..." in the description text below the slider.

* Also, make sure the slider below it (Sample rate conversion quality) is set to "Good", not "Best".

I hope this helps!
