This is my first time ever so here goes.First of all I would like to thank all the guys who have helped me online Pye and Goth and every one else.I would also like to thank all of you talented guys building aircraft, terrains, ground units etc.You have given me hours of fun and enjoyment and have all helped to create the best sim I have ever seen.
I would be the first to admit I have not contributed much to sdoe and I was scratching my head wondering what the hell I could do.I dont have the skill to Build planes so I was thinking maybe I could help get a Nation project going for New Zealand. The RNZAF was pretty actively involved in the Pacific and I do know a friend of my Fathers who flew Corsairs in that theatre. Not many of these guys left now and soon there will be none.I would really like to see something preserved before all these guys are gone. Can anyone tell me what is the correct way to go about this?

Dinga,

I can't see a problem with it - but please coord through Werner.

There is a fair bit of research/preparation you must do:

Sqn crests/patches and history
Collection of appropriate sqn photo's
Medal back grounds (NZ flag or NZ Airforce ensign - if they had one in WW2)
Medal pics (to be cut/pasted onto backrounds - I presume medals are same as British/Aussie - I think I can help here)
NZ radio terminology in WW2
A method of recording and processing voices on your PC
A good Kiwi accent
time and patience (there are about 64 voice files to record)
develop missions based on current standard for 'scramble'

I thinks that's it. If your dead set serious about doing all of this start your research now.

AND ask for help when needed.......

Cheers,

AGAS 5

Mighty? lol I'm flattered.

I had to yank my email address from all over because of threats to personal security a while back. Long story, but some freaky stuff. Anyways it's still posted at AF.

Dinga - I will be sending you an email shortly. Welcome aboard!

Werner
