The GMC Supply truck is ready! This truck has fully animated suspensions/wheels and visible drivetrain underneath as well as reverse gear, interior gauges/levers and more modelled. As you can see, it is unarmed, I thought I should balance out the armed and unarmed vehicles I create for SDOE. It comes with 3 training missions, a hangar mission and loadout info/images. Get it at my site (link below) or from simfiles. Now...for the next vehicle...hmm. ------------------ Visit FS:SDOE Online IP: Logged |

Me too Razer, the AI aren't too bright at driving these things. Maybe a cross country rally in the Citroen and some supply missions with these...just an idea.------------------ Visit FS:SDOE Online IP: Logged |

Maury,The Kubelwagon's a good idea, Pachy made a basic 3D model of it recently and made it into a ground object, I was thinking of doing an armed vehicle next, M-16's a good one too. I was thinking of doing the Matador 40mm or maybe the M3 AAA. Razer sent me the Jeep a while back, might try that. ------------------ Visit FS:SDOE Online IP: Logged |

Awesome work! These movable ground objects would actually be cool to use online. Maybe in a limited way at first, but I can see having a mission where the idea would be to get the supplies accross the bridge and to the Airfield Hangar. You could have some aircover to support the truck/convoy , and the attacking force would have just one job...Get that truck!!! : ) I love it! PR=FC= IP: Logged |

Thanks Private Roger,There is a training mission in the download that has the Germans hot on your tail at least three times in the mission and you have to cross a bridge too ------------------ Visit FS:SDOE Online IP: Logged |

Could you make a loadout with a towed artillery piece? I guess it would be connected using obRopePts. charm IP: Logged |

Awesome work Harman!! The texture quality in particular really catches my eye. hehe, I think it's kinda cool how that el massivo aerial bomb is so casually placed on top of the ammo box. Should I even inquire about the truck's DM? Very cool stuff Harman. Werner ------------------ Visit Abbeville Field Today! IP: Logged |

One could make a race track placeable ground object... with 4 lanes and it would have to be VERY big! IP: Logged |

actualy, making a "racing" terrain would be pretty simple, one with raised banking like the ovals or sumthin like that, the small jumps would be hard cause it would mean high poly count, but a flat track with banking would be easy enough IP: Logged |

If you lock hard at full throttle you roll pretty easily, and then you can drive around and keep rollin' once you are upside down. A bit strange.Good work and it looks class, even if that bomb looks a little loose! Snake IP: Logged |

Thanks all for your replies.Sailor, I'm not sure how it will handle online, guess someone will have to try. Charm, I'm not sure how I'd go about making such a thing, I don't have much knowledge with ropePts, but I may have a go, or if someone knows how, they are welcome to try. Thanks Werner, I added that bomb at the last minute and now I have an excuse for a rather large explosion when it takes damage! Although the explosion is nowhere as large as a bomb dropped from a plane, it's more than my other ground objects. LOL Argon, that may work happen now that I have more ground object projects in the works... You'd be surprised how many little jumps there are around the towns of Dover and France. Von, I was thinking of making a German BMW motorcycle w/ sidecar and MG as seen in Hidden & Dangerous. Snake, I left the 'roll rate ' alone since it is a truck with a heavy load on the back, and about the movement while rolled over on the ground, it may look a little strange, but this is caused the invisible engines and propellors trying to move the truck even though it's wheels are in the air. Unfortunately, currently, this is limitation of Openplane, as I can't make the tires a target of the engine. Maybe after the patch? ------------------ Visit FS:SDOE Online IP: Logged |
