Pachy Pilot	posted 02-28- 02:17 PM Maybe, maybe not... I'm pretty sure the only difference between the P-36 and early P-40s was the engine. The fuselage (past the firewall) and wings were the same. But since the one you (and others) are working on is a later variant, I'm not sure IP: Logged

Da Jug head Pilot	posted 03-01- 12:06 AM Razer, Pachy is right and wrong, the first P-40's were a P-36 with an extended nose and radiator for the switch from a radial engine to a liquid cooled inline engine. Same wings and fuselage, but the radiator was under the fuselage. Pachy, according to Jane's, the Tomahawk was "considerably revised in structure in wings and fuselage". This was the first model to have the radiator moved to the nose. I would hazard a guess that the P-36 cutaway won't work for a Tomahawk or Warhawk. Try www.P-40.com and see if it leads you to the info you need. At the bottom of the page is a link to an e-mail address. They say if you need specific info on the P-40, mail them and they'll try to help.
