Da Jug head Pilot	posted 02-22- 09:43 AM I posted this in the patch section, but thought everyone should see it. This was using the 1.5.65 beta build and is using D3D- not Glide! There are 3 settings that need changing in the ini file: FogDistance FogFarClip FogNearClip I'm no expert at fog settings, since this is the first time I've tried this. Here are pictures using 2 different settings. Graphics System TNT2 32Mb Leadtek Winfast S320II Latest leadtek drivers, which incorporate the latest Nvidia reference drivers. DirectX 8 and If I'm right you can install this beta without goofing up your online compatibility. This doesn't replane the SDemons.exe file, it sticks a new file called app.exe in the directory with it's own shortcut called FSC beta. I have more than one installation so I can't prove it won't effect compatibility (it's installed to my offline installation)- Someone else out there try this yet? ------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question IP: Logged
Sunray Pilot	posted 02-22- 10:39 AM I think I'm missing something here. I don't understand what you're saying, but I installed the 76(?) patch. It too puts an app.exe. Ran it just to see. Lots of changes, none of which don't work worth a dam on my machine. The game runs ok but the sound was different and doesn't sound right. I don't play online due to only having dial-up so I don't know if it affects online. I don't use the newer app.exe. IP: Logged
Nat Pilot	posted 02-22- 04:29 PM Sunray, most all the builds other than 65 are screwed up and not worth a damn, 65 is the only really working patch from MH, I have 76 aswell, but believe me I wouldn't use it after taking a look at the firsat mission I flew lol IP: Logged
