I should probably be placing this under the help section but i have to ask here.
I was doing the off-line mission of Shore battery for Dover. where you are supposed to blow up 50% of the battery.
Well I blasted all the guns yet it did nto say the battery was destroyed on the Objective part of the screen worse yet the British Bombers came under Fire still from Flak.
Has anyone noticed this problem with the shore battery else where or even ecountered this problem?
If it is not a problem... what did I miss blowing up to stop the bombers from being attacked by flak.

the flak are the target, they are based ontop of the gun bunkers, the bombers targets are the gund themselves.

(from mission briefing.. read this before flying a mission )
"You'll be leading a flight of two P-38s loaded with rockets on this one, and you need to deliver. After take-off, drop low into the channel and head east to the coast, just south of the shore batteries. Pop up and make a sweep across the batteries, hitting the flak hard"

Nat did that read that... still lists three objectives... and if you take out the flak guns they still shoot at the bombers. you can still see the bombers getting hit by flak when their is none there to shoot at them.

then you must be getting a bug or sumthin, I like that mission and played it alot in the past, and once I destroyed the 3 flak (or is it 4) flak guns everythings fine, I think there is a flak placed behind the bunkers that you need to destroy, but I'd have to check

ok Nat that might be. Ground objects do not seemt o show at long distance so there could be one hiding some place I will try the mission again and see if I can find one hidding that is not showing up on radar.

I've just had a look at the mission in Mission Ed. There is a flak battery further up the coast near Calais that might be causing the problems with the Lancs. Looking at the mission there are only 2 flak at the shore battery, the one near Calais, and one inbetween those set slightly further inland. From looking at the mission, to win the shore battery and both Flak cannons need to be destroyed, the other flak are there to basicaly hit the bombers but aren't actually mission targets

Don't you have to take out the radio tower???? (Its been a long time since I flew this, and I remember going through the same type of thing, so I could be mistaken...)
