This bird is turning out to be a pain for the developers to adjust.here's the problem I have and I need someone to make sure it's not my stick. I can't get this plane to go into a spin no matter how hard I try. It stalls correctly in a climb, looks like someone took a clip from the old P-51 training film it's so accurate the way it responds. ------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question IP: Logged |

Da Jug head, The FM has only been modified to correct the take off and landings. Top speed, Climb rate, Turn rate, Roll Rate have not been worked on. Pang is very good at FM work and has asked to take this on. I think he is waiting for it to get out of the developmental stage to start. Pang, I think it is ready to go, any changes will be 3D only. Da Jug head, change the phyLBS of the Tail from 650 to 800, bet it will spin now BTW what developers is it a pain to adjust? IP: Logged |

I said it was a pain cuz I know it's been tweaked a couple times already. Tail did some adjusting and so did others. First it didn't spin, then it did, then it spun too easily, then the low altitude speed became really slow ,then . . . It seems that getting the right balance has been kind of elusive. The developers aren't the pain, the plane seems to be the pain for them (at least from a users standpoint). I knew the FM mods were supposed to be for takeoff and landing, but it seems to have affected the spin characteristics. I can turn off g-force effect and yank the stick back HARD in a turn and she won't flip, spin or anything this bird was known to do. If Pang or another developer is going to work on this bird- sign me up for testing the FM! Plus, once the D gets fixed, the B would be easier to finish wouldn't it? ------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question [This message has been edited by Da Jug head (edited 02-20-2001).] IP: Logged | |
