In a suprise attack as devastating as it was vicious, the Japanese at 07:57 AM (Hawaii time) ended any possibility of peace in the Pacific between the forces of the Rising Sun, and the United States. PBY crews, ground support crews and the PBYs of Patrol Wing 1 were the first hit on Kaneohe Bay Naval Air Station. 30 of 36 PBYs of patrol Wing One were destroyed, the others being on patrol.Preliminary information, though chaotic, indicates loss of life and levels of damage unthinkable to this reporter... Of the images that follow, only one is from the war zone. We will as time allows provide further information. God help our servicemen. Indeed, God help us all....

Thanks from all of TeamPBY guys.... Except for the shadow that PR noticed, some ground handling problems, a sticky dof, the engine DM and a couple of other minor things she is ready for Beta 1 (actually closer to Beta 2... but I cant release because of the ground handling...) Someone had requested images...... BTW the data from the news report is factual as taken (not verbatim) from "PBY/The Catalina Fling Boat" by Roscoe Creed...FWIW I am in the process of rebuilding TeamPBYs web site if this means anything to you... ------------------
