After reading the thread on hardware and graphics cards, I was doing some experimenting. I was using the "z" key and other times-hypersnap. Using the glide video I got garbled-turquois mess with both types of captures. D3d video was O.K. After I got the hint to use 32, I like flying in glide, but I also like screenshots now and then. I'm assuming it has something to do with the 32 bpp color. I hate that word. Thanks for help.Riverrat out! ------------------ Oops, lost one of me wings. Do I really need both? crap! IP: Logged |

Since Voodoo only uses 16bit color... it is a good idea to set your desktop to 16 as well.. it will probably stop the corruption....

Voodoo only uses 16 bit color? Umm... NO. Voodoo can also do 32 bit color. And Ive never had corrupt screen shots either. Thats really wierd. Are they corrupt after you take them and view them in Windows paint?[This message has been edited by ArgonV (edited 02-17-2001).] IP: Logged |

Thanks guys, I tried to view them with PSP, ACDSee, Paint and irfanview. Corrupt in all. I tried to change the desktop back to 16, no help. It's not that big of a deal, just strange. Still love the game though. Thanks to all for all the addons, and helping another newbie out. Also, what is the better, addicted to these forums and addons, or flying SDOE? Razer,Sorry, forgot to mention that. I also use a Voodoo 5. That's what's bugging me about it. I tried different settings, but nothing seems to help. I currently use the same basic settings as Frenchie that he posted in another thread. "*3d filter quality : automatic *Alpha blending : automatic *FSAA 4x (or 2x) *Mipmap dithering : disable *Max buffered frames : 1 pending buffer *Tripple buffering : enable *Rendering color deph : software controlled (unable to go up to 800*600 in glide with this option set to "force 32bpp rendering" *Legacy texture compression : enable *Lod-Bias : -2 *Glide splash screen : disable" Thanks, Riverrat out! ------------------ Oops, lost one of me wings.
