All you paint fiends out there-Please send me a list of the skins you've done and the site where they're posted. If possible, please send me a screen shot, 800 X 600 minimum, jpeg format, 15 or 85 quality level depending on how whether your program counts up or down. This gives a high quality image with no compression artifacts and a fairly small file size. Send them to webspinner@americanisp.net I'll be posting the screenshot's and links at Fighter Squadron Central. If you want to see the format I'm using, go to http://fscentral.50megs.com and click on the skins button. Take a look at the P47 skin page. I have one skin posted so you can see the format. I can get this section up faster if you'll help me with the screen shots. It's taking longer than I expected just to get the screenshots for the planes section. Doing the pages goes quickly, it's all the darn texture swapping that makes it take forever for one person to get pictures of every skin. Yardstick, if you haven't found a host site, e-mail me, I may have a solution for you. I've created over 150 paint schemes, I don't think you really want screen shots of all of them. I certainly don't want to take 150 separate screen shots - sorry.DJ I didn't read the whole of your message, thanks for the offer but I have something sorted out. It is just taking me forever to take the screenshots and get the files in order, hence my original reply. ------------------ Yardstick painted this [This message has been edited by Yardstick (edited 02-16-2001).] IP: Logged |

I've got a bunch of skins, a lot of them unreleased, looking for a home. Are just posting links or the skins themselves. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Here's my list. They are all located (except where noted) at my wesite in my signature below. The site has screen shots of all of them at the in-game Hangar size of 280x200 pixels (so those who want them for the Hangar can save them out and convert them to BMPs for use). Unfortunately, I've just about completed a massive re-shooting of all of them, but once I had the 280x200 I liked, the 800x600 original got the axe! Bullet,Send me the skins and a screenshot please. You can either host them at nbci.com (free) if you want direct control, or post them at www.simfiles.com If you want to use nbci.com, it's easy to do. I can help you with that part. If you don't feel like creating a webpage, they can be posted to the site you register for, and I can link directly to the file. For those with sites like RAF Harkness, I'm not linking to the file, but to the site or page. This encourages people to take a look around the other sites too. I'm trying not to host files as this site will be fairly big once all of the features are in place. ------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question IP: Logged | |
