read my post from luftwaffe.net
Guys seriously....Imagine how cool it would be and how realistic it would be to have the Hangers, Barracks,Supply bunks all have labels on them. Hangers could have the names of the squadron, pilots in the squadron, names of planes, other cool stuff painted on the side. Maybe a squadron banner? Barracks could have rank assignments names of job(pilots, mechanic, base staff, Generals, infantry, etc.), Supply bunks could even have what armaments are in side, rounds, bombs, rockets, fuel, parts,......Maybe someone could have a tavern there

The way we design skins for planes, can't we design skins for buildings? This would be very cool for squad war, imagine!!!!!! Your land at another base, and its very different, and not just structurally!!!! If I'm stationed at Weilburg, and land at Bad Homburg I could role up to one of the hangers and see a pilots name up there from another squadron.

Obviously everyone would have to download the same Zip, but don't we do that anyways??!
It could also include, of course, the allied base "decorations", and every terrain, africa, dover etc. So if you fly offline on what ever mission you design you'd still have that rich world to fly in. Imagine seeing the dreaded Fighting Chickens bases!!!! FLAGS !!!

Ex. Do you have the courage to design an offline spy mission where you land in an allied base with the Union Jack everywhere in a spit and climb into a citroen and drive to the barracks, for part one? then, after you've broke into everything in the middle of the night and took photos of troop and AA placements..... for part two of the mission you have to get in a citroen, that is next to a Stuka Repair crew, wave, then casually drive to the remote part of the base for a "picnic", only to hop the fence and flee with a german commando team to a farmhouse( well..you have to imagine that part) and F5 into a me-109f and fly home...I imagine a spit patrol you have to tangle with first maybe some AA, then land back at YOUR base.

See? offline fun too!

As far as my final argument, I still think this would help the flow of traffic during war, It took 30 minutes to arrange a mission last Sat. If people know where they are going it would increase the reality of the precision of war. When its time to fly a mission you have to show up on time or they leave with out you.

Well... find my original post and read up on my base idea.

boy...just felt like talking today I guess!

All the structures have textures, and you could change them for different hangars etc. It would involve re-texturing each one, and changing the name of them. Then you change the references in the airfield etc. and the texture will be the one you re-did. I don't know what this will do to FR's or if the textures are detailed enough to show anything useful.

Try it and see!
