I remember someone wrote an nice article for Combatsim on mission making in SDOE. Could someone upload it to their site. I assume it was written by someone from here so they could post it on their site as its their article.Thanks Snake IP: Logged |

Yep its behind the Iron curtain.
I just tried the link from Tails site, and it gives a 404 and reminds about the subscription service. I still have the original doc but I can't upload it to my site cause I sold it to them so it would be illegal i'm pretty sure. Maybe I could reformat it but I'm not sure how much formatting I would have to do to make it not the same article. Maybe we should do another article about making missions? The best part I found was that I had a map of every airfield with the runways headings on it. IP: Logged |

Spanky,To avoid legal hassles, you need to change a minimum of 15% of the content, not just change the formatting. This really isn't that hard to do. Reword some sentences, go into more detail on some subjects, and for good measure change the order of a couple of topics that won't effect the learnig process- i.e put all the feature explanations together (defining what they do), or if they're already together, split them up and put them at the beginning of the tutorial on that feature. ------------------

That map sure would be handy.....I noticed that the game area is actually 67 by 40 miles and that the co-ordinates are equal so 1000 units up is not the same distance across. Please go ahead with a new article it would be really handy. Snake IP: Logged |
