Please- if at all possible, apply Tailslide's realprop texture to all aircraft as a default. This would be so Also, this texture should become the defacto standard for all new aircraft. ------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question [This message has been edited by Da Jug head (edited 02-14-2001).] IP: Logged |

some people don't like it so i don't think it should be added to the standard since it's a simple download to add it to your system.IP: Logged |

But if it is on the plane pack and the Plane pack become an On-line standard... then everyone would have it so it can be an on-line standard.------------------ Wait I do not know how to fly this plane.... oh geezz... I'd go for the real props in a second if they didn't look so much like a disk made of plastic in front of you... I've seen the real thing several times too so I know what I'm talking about. This isn't a slam on TS either, I just think it's one of the limitations of the game, at least until we can get dynamic lighting on 3d props. As for yea/nay on the props, maybe a 'realprop' pack on the side from the guys who have made them would satisfy those who want them. well, why put them in the pack and FORCE everyone to use them, like you said, it's a small download, if people want them they will comeIP: Logged |

On the props thing, like was said it's a personal taste and not required for online compatibility. The prop texture you use / like can be added to the planes you want. The installer for pp6.0 actually gave you a choice for some planes (can't remember if it was just TS's though). To do this it depends on the prop reference for each plane - in most cases it's usually prop.tif - in which case try copying TS's prop texture into the desired aircraft's texture directory - I don't know if this will work but it can't hurt to try it. Where do you place these real prop files? In the texture dir of the model of the plane you wish to use them in? Thanks Von.IP: Logged |

I agree with Argon - I really dislike realprops... And Tail solved this just right by including both for the Yak.Yeah and how do I get the normal prop for planes like Ki100 and Barracuda that came with the realprop? (Razer, Aladar?) Thanks. IP: Logged |

With all due respect gentlemen, sometimes it is not a matter of like or dislike.... I have real props on my machine, but they don't cover all planes. If I get placed into a plane that doesnt have real props, I must fly the entire mission from outside the plane.... (with exceptionally short visits to the cockpit for targeting and map). The strobe effect _may_ look cool, but there can be medical factors to consider. Plane builders, *please* ALWAYS provide both, at least on single engine planes....------------------ Snickers =FC= IP: Logged |

Snickers hit the nail on the head. Just fly Razer's beautiful P-38F, and the props won't be strobing on you! >OUCH!< Who threw that brick? ------------------ -=Spectre=- Spectre@jorg.net IP: Logged |
