I always wondered if it's possible to create a kinda of wooden boxes w/ a parachute, in order to simulate a supply drop...just to have fun dropping something wiyhout blowing everything apart!!!! It would be cool to be released together w/ the paratroopers! I remeber germans dropped from theirs ju52 big cylinders full w/ supplies for the troops in the eastern front... shouldn't be too difficult to do...------------------

It would also make for some good war missions too.... resupply the troops.... "Capture" an airfield with troops and supply drop.... ;} Good idea!

Looks like no problem. I am working on the ground contact points now. Once that is done I will swap the paratrooper with a crate and create a different loadout.IP: Logged |

Cool Raider I look forward to it myself would be interesting... if there would eb a way to work it like the boms for mission editor... got to drop a certian amoumt in an area to win that part of the mission while escorts keep the enemy fighters at bay?IP: Logged |

Well, the contact points are working. Going to swap in a crate next. Rendsburger, I hope to send you an update tonight.  As for accumulating troops/supplies, I have an idea. Make a large target object that you can't see. Give it a dof that will break if something drops on it, this kills the target. Hope it works. Well, what if somebody shoots the target with a bullet? Wouldn't that cause it to think mission successful? Maybe those patch guys can create some new OpenPlane properties, such as obBombType to declare the type of "bomb" a bomb is, and obTargetType, to declare whether the target needs to be hit with a regular bomb, or a supplies "bomb", or a paratrooper "bomb".charm IP: Logged |
