Most of it seems to be done....Condor has apparently finished all the fighters from the plane pack...if someone could do the bombers, this whole controversy ongoing in the Tech section could be over with. The Ju-88 DM is well done, I think wakeup tailgunner is implementing it in the B-17, and mace seems to have done it for the Sea Mossie and his Lanc-- would it be difficult to cross that work over to the regular Mossie and Lanc? After that is done, I think every Plane Pack plane will be set, right? Then lets get this to the OS....

I could paste in a new 'engine' setup for the lanc if you want to test it out Jeeves!

The basics are all there, it's just a question of tapping in some new values and swapping in some new parts!

Sounds good bro-- I am just looking to make sure that every plane in the plane pack has the DM implemented so that when the next edition of the plane pack comes out-- this can become the standard already. Does testing just involve shooting the crap out of it? If so-- then I am in Am I missing anything? AFAIK, the Mossie, Lanc, 17, and 88 are the only bombers....oh-- was the Stuka worked on Condor?

Also-- are both the B-17 F and G getting DM work done on them-- this is an important issue since both are in the PP.

I'll do a first bash on the Lanc tomorrow!

Tailgunner,

Please send me the lanc and B17 you're working with. Check you inbox - I sent you a note about it.

re: the stuka... while I've been around long enough not to question the work of the under-trumpeted FMers who undoubtedly worked from reliable source data, is there any chance that the Stuka could be tweaked so that when carrying a full bombload it can actually sustain or even slightly gain altitude when flying? I'm working on this thing right now (don't get excited, not an airplane) and the Stuka's negative climb with ordnance is frustrating.

Thanks,

Werner

The Stuka is a DIVE bomber....and you want to make it a CLIMB bomber too

some people just want it all.....

Hi Jeeves,

Yes, I did put the engine damage into the stuka.

Werner,

Maybe for the pp6.1 update, someone can just increase the engine horsepower a bit and see if that helps out? If this is done, then the rpm settings for the power loss functions in my engine dm will have to be adjusted as well.

Well after world domination, infinite riches and better luck on the dating scene I suppose a flyable, bomb-equipped stuka does sound a bit extreme.

I have to agree with Molders.
Now that I have Mastered(?) the P-38, I have ventured forth into flying many of the "new"
Aircraft you fine people have produced. Bar none, the Ju-87 is the most underpowered pig
I have had the displeasure of trying to keep
aloft. I am REALLY not trying not to flame
anyone, it just does not seem like the specs match this anemic aircraft...

Jeeves, Spectre, and Werner,

I took a look at the stuka and I increased the horsepower a bit so at full load it climbs at 15% holding 155 - 165 mph. Does that sound ok to you?

Let me know what you think it should be and also what is the top speed for this plane at 1000 feet? I can then work some more on it and then email it to you for evaluation(if you want it)

Condor,,, great!!!

That adjustment should be what online users need!,,,

the plane will get flown with an increase in the horsepower, it doesn't get flown as it should, at the moment online.

So the "side effects" not having correct speed at correct height etc, will be ignored by myself and others,, as long as it's not faster than my FW190

Yes i want to test it! I'll e-mail you so you can send it me by reply!

thanks

wtg...

I blew the hell out of the B-17G and didn't get the missing cowlings that you show above...I saw plates of wings fall off...and that's about it.....except for pink and black smoke Also-- those Cyclones look snappy!! Nice job on the engines....I must admit I just loaded in the file without reading the e-mail...too anxious I guess-- so maybe this stuff wasn't added yet?

WT,

Those engines look great.

Wonder if I should update the '88...

Condor,
You da man!
My sources show Ju 87D, G, H - Cruising Speed: 255mph, if that helps. And, yes, I
would love to putter around in it! My e-mail

Condor - thanks for the tweaks, the LW thanks you. I don't want to go too far though, I mean the thing was a pig to fly, so data-based wherever possible I guess. My main concern was just that it could climb, even if slowly, with a bombload. Otherwise it's useless w/o air starts, which aren't realistic.

Thanks for the file, Condor.
It now flies alot more like I figure it should. Definately not something that I
would mix it up in, but it can now get out of it's own way!
Great job, I appreciate it! Also kudos to the skin maker, it looks great, too!

the wing chunks falling off are the first step in a wing dm routine...that isn't quite done yet!

The cowlings do go, just ...er....not in the version I mailed you....( DOH!)

The prop feathering thing is an awkward one! I need to find out how it does it. If it is done through the prop, then that hasn't been changed, and feathering should work. If it's through the engine...I need to work on that!

Pink smoke.....never had pink smoke! Off-white yup, grey, black....PINK! I'll check the smoke values...don't think pink is quite the right colour....
