The land based Hurricanes and Sea Hurricanes have been updated. Razer has fixed the texture lighting problems and provided a correctly shaped shadow. Also Condor's engine damage model has been incorporated into the land based Hurricane as well as a few minor fixes I've done. The Hurricanes can be 'loaded out' as either a Mk I or Mk II.Mk I & Mk IIA - eight .303 cal machine guns Mk IIB - twelve .303 cal machine guns Mk IIC - four 20 mm cannons Mk IID - two 40 mm Vickers 'S' tank buster cannons Mk II's can carry two 250lb or two 500lb bombs under the wings. Eight 3 inch rocket projectiles can also be used. The Mk II configurations gives the 'hurri' much more punch for pilots and mission creators. Hurricane Mk I/II (567k) which includes ten training missions; available at: http://members.nbci.com/sdoe_mace/hurr.zip
Or if you have version 1.0 of the Hurricane just down load the updated files (245k) http://members.nbci.com/sdoe_mace/hurrup.zip Sea Hurricane Mk I/II (720k) which includes thirteen training missions; available at: http://members.nbci.com/sdoe_mace/seahurr.zip
Or if you have version 1.1 of the Sea Hurricane just down load the updated files (253k) http://members.nbci.com/sdoe_mace/seahurrup.zip cheers mace

I have some new cockpit textures, that I can incorporate into the next planepack if people are interested. One observation on the FM of the MkI. The ground handling is very twitchy, particularly for a plane that had a wide track gear and reputation for ease of landing / take off. Bar that very nice, it inspired me to create two new paint schemes - can't wait to blast they out of the sky ------------------ Yardstick painted this IP: Logged |

Very cool. Only the guns shoot about 10 or more feet/yards too high. On the Mk 2. Is there anything I can edit to adjust this?IP: Logged |

Thanks for the feedback Sunray. Odd, checked the alignment on Hurricane / Sea Hurricane's .303 and 20mm guns on two separate PC's and seemed OK. I'd be interested in feedback from others if they have the same problem.Gun alignment can be adjusted using Open Plane Studio but do you have this same problem on the spitfire? There is a common sight .sm file used on british planes and it may be out of alignment rather than the aircraft's guns. cheers mace IP: Logged |

Great! The shadow thing really needed fixing, and the shading too! All it needs now are some low level lods! Have to agree about the ground handling! She's fine until you try to make a direction change....then she just goes crazy. Air starts or runways with plenty of space! The plane is an old one, and I'm sure we have cured similar problems on other planes, so lets hope someone takes this on too! BOB dogfights just aren't right without a few hurricanes..... Hi, mace. I haven't looked at the Spit but it definitely does not happen in the machine gun armed Hurricane 1. I figured two Hurries were the same aircraft model with different armament. I'll have a look at the Spit when I get home. The last time I played with a Mk 9 Spit it was ok though. They won't let me use my Win2K server to play games on. It's ok. It doesn't have a sound card, a joy stick or an accelerator and they think I should be doing something productive while I'm here. Not that they're unreasonable though. I have a direct connection to the 'net here. 100 plus Kbps download speeds. Better do something before somebody starts to cry. Sunray out.IP: Logged |

Hi Mace,Make sure that Spin has these for the pp6.1 update. He will need to overlay your new sm files over my engine damage stuff. btw, did you have any luck with fixing the FM when the hurricane is at 15k plus? The ones I have used for the engine damage tend to flop around alot if you try to bank the plane. ------------------ Condor out IP: Logged |

Just did a quick check of the Spit 9. It's fine. I am getting a lot of jerking of the windscreen frame in the Spit, Hurrie and Typhoon though. Probably not related to the gun thing.IP: Logged |

Sun, make sure you have headshake turned off. You'll get a small amount of shaking since that's the plane moving. ------------------ Tony "Razer" Martin "Making SDOE a dangerous Place, One plane at a time!" FS Hangar IP: Logged |

My Hurricane "Takeoff" mission is a Spitfire landing. Anybody else get this? My Mission Editor is toast so I can't change it.IP: Logged |

Odd problem Jerry. There is a spitfire landing in that mission however there should be a hurrincane on the ground by the hangar ready to take off. Press f5 and have a look around for, be interested if you can't find it.cheers mace IP: Logged |

OK, I'll look for it tonight (depending on how my reinstall goes). But the mission opens with me in Spit.IP: Logged |

Yup, the Hurricane is there, by the hanger, just like you said Mace. But the Takeoff Training mission starts with me in the cockpit of the Spit.Since I can't get into the mission to fix it, can you please send me a new one? As we discovered with your SeaMosquito RATO, my system seems touchy if things aren't just right. IP: Logged |
