Hi all,I have been to TailSpin's site and tried to download the island theater. I get a 404 with a ref to openplane.org. Same with Tundra. As Island is by ParSoft, I figure that it would be semi-polished. I wrote to greg@firelight.dynip.com last week, and have not heard anythintg yet. Does anybody have a good link to this 10MB file? I would like to make some Pacific missions based on Dick Bong, and this looks like a good place to try it out on, as SDOP is still in the works. Thanks, ------------------ -=Spectre=- Spectre@jorg.net IP: Logged |

Spanky here... Try this link. http://www.openplane.org/ Goto downloads > Fightersquadron. They might have moved stuff around when they updated the site and that made the links at tails site out of date. IP: Logged |

Yes, you should be able to get both the Island terrain and the Tundra terrain from Parsoft's OpenPlane website. If not, I can send them to you. Just let me know if you're not able to get them from Openplane.com/org/etc ------------------ -=TheReaper=- [This message has been edited by ReaperMan (edited 01-24-2001).] IP: Logged |

Not to toot my own horn here but, if you want a Pacific terrain for a Bong mission try Nat's site and D/L my Pacific terrain. http://members.nbci.com/naturlich/index.htm IP: Logged |

No offense taken, ReaperMan.Diego, I have the hardest time with Naturlich's site. I hit the index just fine, but any thing else goes 404. It maybe the firewall here at work, but NBCi seems flaky to me. I got a Beta copy of SDOP, and it had color pallette problems in the mission editor. The terrain was uneven, with peaks of ocean! If there is newer version, I cannot get to it currently. I now have Island and Tundra, when I get `em home I will play with them...

Hi Spectre, I answer all my email so either I didn't get your message or you didn't get my reply. Glad you found the file! I fixed the link and verified all the terrain links at: http://tailslide.firelight.dynip.com/sdoe.asp#terrains TS [This message has been edited by Tailslide (edited 01-25-2001).] IP: Logged |

The Pacific Beta was Jaguar's terrain. I have made a total repaint of the Africa terrain with some added features thrown. Currently Nat's site is the only place you can get it. If someone else would like to host it feel free.IP: Logged |

Diego, Thanks for the info. I would love to see a repaint of Africa in a Pacific theme. I just cannot get to Nat's site from here with either Netscape of IE5.5. I will try from home on my SLOW 56k connection. Also, I got the Islands installed, it looks nice! It's just a little small to be useful...
