Ok, I have some books full of highly detailed scale aircraft drawings & plan views. These books are out of print and took me a while to track down. If you want 3 plan views of a particular plane, email me and I will scan in the plans. Please, only ask for what you are working on as it's a time consuming job scanning. Thanks Elric Plans : 'Aircraft Archive, Volume I, Fighters of World War II' ISBN 0 85242 948 7 Gloster Gladiator Mk I Supermarine Spitfire MkI, IX , XII, XIV, XVI, XVIII and XIX Messerschmitt Bf109E4 Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero-Sen Boulton Paul Defiant Mks I and II Curtis Kittyhawk MkI , III and IV Messerschmitt Bf110C-4, C-5, F and G Hawker Typhoon MkI Republic P-47B and D Thunderbolt De Havilland Mosquito Mks II, IV and VI Grumman F6F-3, -5 and -5p Hellcat Bristol Beaufighter Mks I, II, VI and X Lavochkin La-5FN and La-7 Dornier Do 335 'Aircraft Archive, Volume II, Bombers of World War II' ISBN 0-85242-968-1 Fairey Swordfish Mks I and II Fairey Battle B Mk I Junkers Ju86A, D and E Dornier Do17M, P and Z Vickers Armstrong Wellington B MkI Heinkel He 111 H-2 Consolidated - Vultee B24J Liberator PBY4Y-2 Privateer Handley Page Halifax B Mks I - IX Martin B26A and B Marauder Junkers Ju87D and G Stuka Avro Lancaster B MksI and III Ilyushin Il-2 Stormovik Junkers Ju188E-1 Arado Ar 234B 'Blitz'

Wow! You read my mind! I was just about to post a similar offer, so I thought I'd just do it here. Despite my main interest being the RAF, many years ago, a remarkable book came into my possesion thanks to a thoughtful uncle who saw it at a library sale and picked it up for me. Presumably, it's out of print. It's called "Warplanes of the Third Reich" by William Green. It's an enormous tome and it was published in 1970. While short on color, when it comes to plans and information, it is ludicrously detailed! It seems to cover anything which was even thought of, let alone built, from 1933 to 1945. I had never even heard of the Ar 240 (Arado's entry in the Zerstorer competition) before this book. I make the same offer as Elric to those who might need plans. I'd have to email them though, as I can't seem to post images successfully (I think it's my ISP). P.S. Anybody know of a work of similar detail for strictly British aircraft? ------------------ Be seeing you, 3dp Visit RAF Harkness! IP: Logged | |
