I posted this in tech talk and got no response, so here goes:I found the He-111 model. Finally found the backup file with it. I was going to help with the He-111 model but couldn't because of import/export problems with my 3D program. I have the model in 3DS format with the textures. Who wants it?

Is it mapped? Can it be made to LOD format? If so, I could get it into the game for ya. IP: Logged |

Yes it's mapped, LOD's and others- probably not. I was sent this to help on the object so I doubt if the other info's there.------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question IP: Logged |

Ok, since this is out i'll go ahead and post. I worked on the he-111 for awhile.. Farmerjoe redid the front of the model and all the glass and made a temp inside but then fell off the face o the earth.I've emailed him but no answers so i don't know what to do. I still have the old model on the modeling computer but i guess it will just need to be started over. the framing and the glass was redone due to lighting problems. Also, from what I recall of the front, it needs a fair bit of tweaking. The front canopy needs to be skewed to one side ( the gunner in the nose was offset to allow the pilot a clear view ) and the canopy frame isn't exactl right. I know why it is the way it is.....I spent 3 days solid doing the frames for the B24. There are quicker ways, but they are not accurate in all cases. If FJ is still around, I hope he lets his model loose. Otherwise I may just have to have a crack at getting the basic lods in game myself! I don't have time to take on another project right now, but I can get the model squared away and into 'LOD' shape. Then punt the LOD's over to ArgonV. We turned the Mc205 from a 3DS model to a very rough Alpha in just a couple of days. What do you reckon? IP: Logged |

Trouble with the He111 is that it's not as symetrical as it looks! both sides are different, and the old 'cut holes in a half-sphere don't work! Also, if you want to model the slding pilot hatch, that is another tricky area!IP: Logged |

Spanky here... Hi guys, it sounds like this model should just be redone from the sounds of it. Who has some nice 3 ways of this sucker?

Tail-I know the cat's out of the bag, I wasn't going to make this available until you said you can't get a response from FJ. Spanky- If nothing else, you can use the wings, engines, landing gear and tail sections from the model. Think how much work that would save. ------------------ "Where'd he GO!?!?" thunk-thunk-thunk-zing-OUCH That answered my question IP: Logged |
