I'm about to take a crack at the recently recommended (a few posts back) beta patch (beta 5 build 65), but I had a few questions first. Is the installation sequence important. Right now I have the online standard in force. Can I just apply the patch? Or should I go back and do a new install and replace the official patch with the beta one (presumably the betas are cumulative and therefore, if being used, eliminate the need for the official one?). Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks!

You should not overwrite your original FS installation, but install the patch in another dir, like 'FSC Beta' or something like that.

You can apply the patch directly in the same directory.
I have both installed (official patch and the beta 65)
The beta patch doesn't overwrite anything.I have just created a shortcut for the official one (online standard) and for the beta for offline play (app.exe), it works.

Ditto Frenchie, App.exe runs the beta. I use the same directory without problems.

But it does overwrite a couple of files - doesn't affect online though.
