I'll start this post with my usual disclaimer that I know nothing of OpenPlane, so if the following suggestions are not as simple as I imagine, please forgive me!

I have just been revising the schemes on RAF Harkness (not posted yet, but soon) and it occurred to me that there are two British planes which I think it would be relatively easy to create:

A bomber version of the Mosquito (IX or XXV perhaps?), i.e. unarmed and with a glass nose. It would just have to be made lighter and therefore faster, much like GT's PR version.

The Tempest, presumably a bit tougher. Typhoon body, Spitfire wings, P-47 or P-51 canopy, slight tail modification, voila!

As I said, just suggestions. I have no idea what goes into weight and speed calculations, etc. Hats off and many thanks to all plane makers everywhere!

You mean like this?

I started this one looooooooong ago, and development has slowed since the D.520 took top priority. I still plan to complete it. It needs second level LODs, small 3D model adjustments, 3D control surfaces, FM, FM, FM and FM.

Other MOST needed planes in SDOE's current plane set are any early allied bomber. Blenheim MkIV or Douglas A-20 / Boston / DB-7 (whatever you call it) would be good choices.

Raz, I reckon what 3dp means, is adding the Spit wings (a fair bit similiar to the Tempest ones), P-47 canopy (actually, the first P-47d-25RA bubble top was a modified Tempest one!!!) and making the slightly bigger Tempest tail unit, also later added to the Tiffie.

Hint for the OP folks!

Semmern is exactly correct about what I meant regarding the Tempest. Sorry for the confusion. In no way did I mean to imply that there was anything wrong with the Spitfire wings, etc.

Tempest looks great! Wonderful work!

P.S. Does the hint above mean someone's working on a Swordfish?
