First,Werners thanks for getting back to me regarding rearming refueling....I have a fantastic Idea!!!!!!!! In a war if people are honest or theres a moniter...say somone in the tower of the HOME base watching.. you could....design missions with planes that carry a light bomb,(even cooler if you design a bomb that has no SDOE "weight", then it would'nt affect the perfomance of the plane.), when you run out of ammo or gas you simply fly back to your base park next to a tanker and blow your self up!!! If we include the invincibility option in the wars then you would find yourself back in your plane ready for take off. To make it VERY cool maybe there is a way to alter the screen you see when you blow up. Is there a way, say, to have a command, when you use that specific "bomb", to run a "sequence"?For example, the sequence that shows the plane blowing up, instead could be a shot of the mission map, or the barracks or ...I don't know what.What do you think?

Two questions:1.) Wont you still incur a point loss for the loss of the aircraft? 2.) How is this different from landing at your base and bailing out? (Or suiciding) IP: Logged |

The point of Rearm and Refuel is just to effect those things. Damage is a factor when your doing this. Many times i've rearmed and refueled in Aces High with plane damage (that doesn't get fixed). You have to fly with the plane as is with new fuel and ammo. Many times i've done this with guns jammed and parts hit hard but i mostly kept flying till i couldn't hold the plane in a dogfight.
This is a simple fix but will cause scoring problems.
It can be done if you filter out the -1 point from the loss of the plane. IP: Logged |

One option would be to add "parked" drone planes to your missions, fully fueled and armed, but with no waypoints or mission objectives. You land your plane, taxi to parking, shut down, and F5/F6 yourself into the parked plane, and off you go for more mayhem.------------------

I thought about the drone idea myself, but thought that might add to many planes,(framerate), as far as the point system, I'm sure that IF people are honest and there are moniters in the tower, they can keep track of who blows themselves. This is easy because the game ID's whos flying a plane, I mean the points are there just to help keep track anyways there not the be all end all. I really think if there are going to be any Battle of Britians out there we have to agree on something. I read those guys refueled, rearmed, many times in a day. As far as damage "staying" with your plan, well that would be nice but...this, or something like this, is a quick solution that we can start using right away. Thanks for your input so far. jedi - that works great offline but I think sturm was thinking about online (or at least I was when I made the comment)sturm - I'm glad I spurred you on with my remark, but it was more intended as a bit of black humour regarding the long list of things we'd like to see in a patch has yet to be seen or heard of in great detail.
