what happened with the 'sun'?
I think we could use this sphere also as the
moon?
(would be nice to include it into the 'night-campaign'!!)

I'm liking this moon idea the more I think of it. You'd have to find a way to keep it illuminated when you darken the rest of the objects. Another thing is that you couldnt use the fog/view distance to darken everything even more or it wont be seen until you're right up on it. If you get this going GT let us know!

now this is what I've tried in CFS2.

Airplane: Lancaster MKII
Scenery: Alps
Time: 5:35 AM

...this could work also with SDOE, if we
change the 'sun'-sphere into a moon (?)

gt,

if you want to see how my idea for the sun (one of the many presented) works, try the unfinished MiG-15 that I put for download a while ago.

Would it be possible to create the moon (sun) as a 'ground object'??

..and not attach it to a plane?
