If my short term memory is still working I seem to recall some questions as to whether or not the cargo door in the fuselage of the Ju52 opens inward or outward, it definitely opens outward. I have some video of Ju52's from old 16mm film. in every case you can clearly see the door being opened passengers getting out etc, door open flat against fuselage... Rendsburger if you like , I have some nice colour video of a restored Ju52 including some excellent views of the cockpit.I can post some mpegs or vid-caps.
Happy New Year All :-)

i know that the door normaly opened outwards, the question is,do it the paratrooper version too?

Thanks for the offer to send me pics and mpegs, but i think i have enough pics, if the mpegs are no megamonsters send it to me!
The problem now is to build the cockpit :-)

Dean - Imagine opening that outer passenger door flying at altitude and in excess of 100mph. Now imagine trying to close it. My money's on the inwards-opening door, or at the very lease some kind of sliding door contraption.

Rendsburger - best of luck on the cockpit, stick with it, we need this plane badly!

You know, it would be kind of cool to make two versions of the Ju 52: one the passenger version, and one the military version. However, if it would take a lot of work, I guess it isn't worth it.

Charmstar,
it is not much work to change the door open direction, but itīs not possible with one plane, then you must have two different planes installed.

Dean, please send it to me!
