You heard it right! Project W.A.M.is short for Project "W.P.F.A.F.M." (unpronounceable acronym, true to military form ), which as you may or may not have guessed is War Paint Factory - Abbeville Field Merger.

This isn't even as complete a merger as was originally planned. When the BCATP went down the tubes, originally Zoycite and I were preparing to hash out the details on a merger that would see the content from the defunct bcatp and the WPF rolled into one site run by both of us. Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans... Well I got an email some time later saying that the WPF content was up for grabs and that the merger, as planned, would not go through. Well, as a tribute to my Nations colleague Zoycite, I've skimmed the WPF's entire collection of skins, and merged the ones that worked with pp6 planes into the Abbeville Field Paintshop. I've also incorporated the WPF logo into the new Abbeville Field logo:

As for the other content at WPF, the WW1 stuff you can get at Sv's site, the nose art, skin templates and tutorials I haven't merged because they don't really fit into my site design, the clip art and gallery sections are already gone , and the specials you can get either in the Briefing Room at AF or at simfiles.

This in no way suggests that the WPF is gone or will be completely removed in the forseeable future. While some pages have already disappeared, the WPF is still the place to go for skin templates and tutorials. For those who may be new enough to sdoe that you don't know about the WPF (which, during its heyday was one of my favourite sdoe sites), you can access it under Hosted Sites at http://www.fightersquadron.com .

So, cheers Zoycite, you ran an awesome website and I hope that by doing this your work will not be lost. S!

Werner

Werner; this is great news. War Paint Factory was one of my favorite places to go also; that stuff needs to be kept. Good to know there will still be a place for it. Thanks...and Thanks Zoycite for the wonderful work you have done.
