I downloaded an alpha version. It's very promising even with the visual bugs in place. But it isn't ready for full release.I was thinking about creating a test mission, but I don't know if the alpha group has one or not- Well?

Test mission? I made a whole campaign for her when she was just a baby  We have training missions and a hanger mission-- but don't let that stop you from making your own missions.... jedi will do right with the SBD...just give him time! The Corsairs were masterpieces...and his further projects can only get better! ------------------

Where can I download the missions?As far as the plane goes, although it's an alpha, I can tell it's another masterpiece in the making.  Sorry if I sounded like I was criticizing it, just didn't want someone grabbing it expecting a finished work.

The campaign will be released when at least the final beta is. I have been holding onto it for almost a year and have thought of parting with it-- but to do it and those I did it for justice (it is a complete mission by mission run-down of the battle of Midway-- from the first spotting of the IJN fleet to the bombing of the Mogami and Mikuma and is in the honor of those who fought that crucial battle)-- I feel I need to at least wait for the near-finished product!What you see now is a result of hard work through many of the old OPP's team...and at the time, I was in contact with one of the flight engineers who was on the Big "E" at the time of the battle-- so this was a great project to be on. I just got a great book on her and am still scanning in pics for jedi to use...so you can bet the finished project wil be superior-- he knows his Pac planes. I will, however, send you the training missions I did for her...check your mail in a few minutes! ------------------

How can you do the first spotting of the Japanese fleet with a Dauntless and remain historically accurate since it was done with a PBY?

Jeeves have I got a surprise for you (maybe). . . If you want it.My Dad was on the Astoria. I received the last copy of the Astoria survivors book from the reunion they had in 1996. Included are the ships logs from Coral Sea and Midway. If I can make a legible copy, would you want the Midway logs? (the copy I have is in pretty bad shape and barely legible) The Astoria escorted the Yorktown and was the ship Fletcher transferred his flag to after the Yorktown was hit. ------------------

Da Jug Head.You actually have logs from yorktown and Midway? Awesome.I'm a big time pacific time.How can one obtain logs? not to be intrusive.Do you really think the Dauntless was out front in locating the enemy? Snickers...Why do you think I wanted to be on the PBY team Don't worry-- by the time I release my campaign, the PBY will have been released, I am sure Da Jug... Hell yeah...I have been reading up about this for almost a year now!! I know about the Astoria through many resources and would LOVE a scan or copy if you can.
