well, after Christmas i got back into the OP thing and starting playing with the Frame Rate Friendly (FRF) version of the B-17.

I lowered the switching distance and gained about 10 FPS. If i lower the 2nd level i might be able to get more with the lowest poly count flying more then the med.


Also, if i can cut out a few things i might be able to get it up even more. Right now i'm running 6 B-17s with 4 Ki-61's coming in on the attack.

I'm getting around 35-44 FPS with the new B-17 and was around 20-34 with the standard B-17.

one more thing, I've noticed a few things wrong with the 6.0 B-17. I never really flew it before so i don't know if the problems was there, but i know they aren't caused by lowering the switching distance.



If you look you can see engine number 1 spinner is different from the rest of the engines.

I'm going to fix this a long with the mapping on the tail. Should only take me about 30 mins to fix all this then i can get back to cutting the plane up.

I was gonna fix that when I did my props..... but I totaly forgot about it . All the other engines should be like engine 1.

Great skin though man!

I already have a fix for this

NEW ENGINES!

Just as soon as I sort out a few technical problems on the old PC, I can let them loose. DM work on the engines is nearly done anyway. At the moment, the PC is as dead as ..er...something very dead indeed!
