'Tlooks like a Raiden, apart from the area behind the canopy. I'm not gonna be a nit-picker here, so all I can say is 'Darn good work in one evening!' IP: Logged |

It sure looks like a KI-100 (A Tony with a radial engine)to me. And I might add that it's a darn fine job Razer. Darryl [This message has been edited by A300mech (edited 12-21-2000).] IP: Logged |

Yep, that is definitely a Ki100!The Ki61 shadow gives it away! The more Japanese planes we get, the better! Those Zero's need a rest. And, if the Ki61 is as good to fly as it is to look at, we get two top quality planes for the price of one! IP: Logged |

had yea stumped for awhile didn't I? well, i didn't plan on making this plane but you see what happens when i get bored. strange things start to fly.. This wont be an offical project by me. I may do a little work here and a little work there, maybe let someone take it over and let me just do model stuff for it. any takers on picking up this project when the time comes? it's a great OP learning project since it's mostly done.. ------------------ Tony "Razer" Martin "Making SDOE a dangerous Place, One plane at a time!" Hi Razer!, An excellent job on the Ki.100! According to my reference the Ki.100 was about 40 MPH slower than the Ki.61 but more maneuverable and had more ammo for each gun (250 RPG). Apparently it was a match for any allied plane in dogfighting below 23,000 feet. Above that it's performance fell off since it had no supercharger originally. I understand it was very popular with Japanese pilots, and I'm sure once everyone here gets a chance to try this baby out it will become a favorite here as well. By the way Razer, I'm sure you already have plenty of reference material on the Ki.100 but if you or anyone else needs any info, my reference gives several basic performance stats. If you need any info feel free to ask. Thanks again for producing this rare gem!Darryl IP: Logged |
