This is an old question/trouble of mine, since in SDOE no way for me to enter a stall and spin (at least in p51, Corsairs and many others). I asked for this some time ago and received some comments, but i've forgotten them and now it's time to bore this community again.
Yes, i have the "prevent stall" option unchecked.
Merry Christmas

Some flight models have recieved more attention to flight departure than others...

Most notably in your list the the Corsairs have not been FM-updated since the contest.

As I understand the P-51 is "still being refined" and the final FM results are not in the last release?

I've been playing the game solong i'm at the point to where i can tell when the plane is going to stall and i pervent it from happening, unless i'm really caught up in trying to get position that i can't help myself and i loose it. turn the senstivity up and you'll spin. Most spins that i know of was cause by aratic movements on the stick. I know there is many types of spins but i think green pilots and the stick thing is where most came from. vet pilots learned to notice what the plane was doing and would keep stalls and spins from happening.

Most stalls int hegame don't happen till aroun 80-90 mph. I always nose the plane over around 120 to keep speed up..

Zur is also right, some planes just wont stall since there is only a few people that know how to work on the FM's in game and it's hard to get all the planes worked on.

Actually, I've had a bit of a breakthrough on the Corsair flight model. While upgrading the damage model, I got bored and thought I'd tinker with the god-awful ground handling.

Pretty frustrating at first--just couldn't keep the thing on the runway (maybe 1 out of 5 takeoffs and never on landing). Went back to basics a bit, dissecting the P-47 CG modeling, and adjusting the "density" of all the Corsair parts, thinking I had a CG problem. Well, that gave me back the "Ensign Eliminator" Cob the power to her at low speed, and you'll be on your back PDQ. Fairly nasty spin now too, and knife-fighting with Zeros is not going to be a "sound" tactic But...ground handling still sucked.

So...went even farther back to basics: basic aerodynamics. Directional stability is dependent on the size of the vertical tail surface and its distance from the CG. Duh! Make the tail bigger! (Virtually that is). Well, it worked

Haven't verified that the AI can do a takeoff, but the BI (biological intelligence) can now do it 10 out of 10 The AI can land, and keep it...er..."close" to the runway, and headed in the same direction it started, and even I can do a reasonable landing (ON the runway) about half the time. It's NOT easy
(and I don't think the real one was exactly "docile" but it IS something that can be mastered with practice now IMHO.

Anyway, the beta is coming soon (a week or so). I think you'll like it

FWIW,

I read an article on ground handling for the corsair once. It sounds like it was an absolute bear to control. New pilots spent hours trying to figure out how to get it to roll in a straight line.

As I recall the tailwheel was tied to the rudder pedals rather than the stick - I'm not 100% on this and I'm sure someone out there will correct me or verify.
