That I use Linux so muxh more than I do Windows. Like heck I miss those bluescreens!

It should be very possible to do a port (may not be that hard either) to Linux. There are already many genres commercially on Linux, but few, if any combat sims.

Once the 2.4 kernel comes out installing games on Linux is as simple as there Windows counterparts, if not better. No dumb error messages that mean nothing :-).

Wonder what MH would think of trying a port once 2.4 is official? SDOE could be the first decent combat sim on that platform!

Is linux and OS that has less overhead?

Could we concivibly have better performance from SDOE if we used that OS?

Plus many less crashes. There are already games that are being released next year directly to this platform. One that comes straight to mind is NeverWinter nights from Bioware (the ones who made Baldurs Gate).
