With this link below it states,
Qoute

"This is one of the greatest games there is but you will need a few things to get you going. First the grab the 1.5 patch above and then grab the latest Beta patch from Michael Harrisons Beta Site."

My questions is :

Are any of you ONLINE Flyers currently running the lastest Beta #76 listed on MH's Unofficial site 'mentioned above' and if so are you compatible and if so Is it worth us all downloading it! if it makes a difference!

I run only Batch 1.5 as per online standard!

Build 76 had quite a few new and annoying bugs in it. It is not compatible with the 1.5 patch and if you are running it you will not see anyone online that is running 1.5.

I still use Build 65 offline and actually prefer it over 1.5.1 despite a bit of a ripple in the fog layer. It is my understanding the the glide folks had a few problems with it though. To my knowledge that's why it was never adopted online.

I love the fly-by view and skycolours.

the betas run slower since they have debugging code in it. We was hoping that michael would get a beta that he liked with fewer bugs and take out the debug code. But that never happened. The betas mess up thinkgs like rate of fire on some aircraft and a lot of the things we are doing now might be broken in the betas.

Michael hasn't actively been working on the beta. He's had his nose in the code of the R/C sim. He's said he will add new features from the R/C sim in the beta for us at a later date. I hope this happens. The one feature i want has already been done by a few that have the source as per Michaels open soruce plan. support for larger then 256x256 textures.
